Best of the Hawaiian Islands
|
| This web site is dedicated to the "other Hawai'i" that so many visitors pass by. Hawaii is blessed with an abundance of fabulous resorts and celebrity restaurants and galleries. These are easy to find. To us the charm of the Best of the Hawaiian Islands can be found in the small towns that people pass through on their way to Haleakala and the Hana Highway, tucked away in the back of strip malls and off the main streets. Here you find the people who love The Hawaiian Islands for their soul. It's the same feeling you find in the rural mainland U.S., the villages of Mexico or the medieval towns of Europe. The kind of thing that is obtained through decades or generations of living close to the land. It takes some time to get to know these places and people, but that is why we come. Instead of rushing from one guided tour to the next, to slow down and take a closer look at what a place is like beneath the surface. We hope that you will enjoy discovering what so many miss. |

We are updating this site, so please be patient. Some of the pictures were lost when we migrated servers, and some graphics have shifted. We will leave the info up while fixing so you have it - even if it isn't real pretty. We are also updating the businesses, send us an email us if you know a business we should include or delete. Be aware that because of the down turn in the economy many businesses may be offering more deals and less options, including the airlines! All in all it is a great time to visit, it is less crowded. |
