Makena Landing/Five Graves
Snorkel
There is good snorkeling straight out from here. A little further up is the Makena Landing Park with facilities and a place to launch your kayak. The best snorkeling is on the far side of the cove near the rocky points.
Scuba
There is intermediate diving and advanced level cave diving. Enter at the small-protected cove at the end of the path. Head straight out and a little right where you'll see the wall with multiple caves. Do not enter the caves unless you have had training. There are White-Tipped Reef Sharks and turtles along the wall. Further along is an outer reef at about fifty feet.
Pay attention as you pass the Makena Surf Condominiums so that you can take the right onto Old Makena Road. A short ways up is a dirt parking area next to the small graveyard.
